so this past week we were on our first ever family vacation for a little end of summer fun! {by family vacation i mean just the four of us. our immediate family. that is all.}
anyway – we had such a wonderful time and nobody was ready to come home! there was a little cool-front {read: temperatures not in triple-digits} that came through before we got there so we ended up eating every meal outside on our porch and letting the girls run around. one morning when we were eating breakfast in our pajamas i grabbed my camera – the girls were just cracking us up and being especially cute. so here are some of their vacation faces. maybe i’ll post some images that actually show our vacation some time too.

i know you remember miss avery from a few months ago and i’m sure you saw her in the image that was featured in frisco style magazine! well this time it was her brother’s turn – cute little reece turned two a couple of weeks ago. he is just the cutest (and busiest) little guy…check out that mohawk! we are SO hoping that reece and kyler will be in the same preschool class this year and become buddies…they are just a couple of days apart! i need to get on kyler’s two year photos. okay, sorry – that was a side note.
and of course, jen is on top of everything, getting her christmas card picture ready to send out over thanksgiving. :) i think i received hers the DAY after thanksgiving this past year. good job, girl! anyway – here is a little preview…..

the image (pictured below) is one of my favorite images from this year…and really ever! sweet avery is 4 years old and i just adore the way we captured her in this moment. this image, along with another black & white close up of her (both 16×20) hang next to a beautiful 30×40 color image from her session. they look amazing on the wall of the staircase when you enter their home.
